Degradable Polymer Synthesis, San Jose State University

An RA positions are available to begin February 15, 2010 or after in the laboratory of Prof. Marc d’Alarcao at San Jose State University. The position involves synthesis and characterization of degradable polymers.

Candidates for this position must have experience with synthetic chemistry and experience with polymer characterization is a plus. The successful candidate will have completed a Ph.D. in organic or polymer chemistry and have a record of scholarly accomplishment documented by publications, but a candidate with comparable industry experience may be considered. The position is for a period of six months initially and is extendable for an additional six months or more by mutual consent and pending funding. Because of time constraints, preference will be given to candidates currently residing in the U.S. and with status permitting employment in the U.S.
